Mortalidade em crianças menores de cinco anos: revisão integrativa

Resumo
Identificar as evidências disponíveis sobre as taxas de mortalidade em menores de cinco anos e suas principais causas, veiculadas por estudos que utilizaram as métricas de avaliação do Global Burden of Disease. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, nas bases de dados: Web of Science, Scopus, PUBMED/MEDLINE e SciELO. Foi incluído estudos que respondiam a pergunta de pesquisa; apresentavam amostra de crianças menores de cinco anos; utilização de métricas GBD; idiomas inglês, português e espanhol. Foram identificados 134 documentos, incluídos 22 estudos publicados entre 2007 a 2019. Apresentam a redução da mortalidade em crianças menores de cinco anos e transição epidemiológica das causas de morte. Portanto, reitera-se que a redução da mortalidade evidencia novas demandas de saúde, prevendo a ampliação do acesso aos serviços e sistema de saúde, sobretudo ao atendimento perinatal.
